Biking

I like biking. I like bikes.

They don’t contribute to global warming (an issue everybody should be concerned about), they help stay fit, and in some instances get you places faster. For instance, I take the public bus to school, which makes stops along the way to school, getting me to school in 32 minutes. Usually.

A lot of times, other loads have to squeeze on ours as their bus is down, and vice-versa with us, which slows us down, causing us to not get to school until 8:50 AM (usual drop-off time is 8:00).

I prefer getting to school early or on time. This allows me to take my time eating and not rush to get to my next class. So, I can just pick up my bike, and bike to school, locking it at the fence. This takes me 15-20 minutes, depending on how fast I am willing to travel.

If I have to go longer distance, I can put my bike on MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) or Xpress and get to places without having to worry about a high gas bill if I go between counties (I don’t do this anymore as people like to tend to steal bikes in certain areas 😃)
